Wow, you people are all pretty stupid huh? Perhaps you didn't hear the end where Tom Hanks said something like "that's my opinion for what it's worth". Okay. That is a person saying, this is what i think, if you care, okay, if not, okay.

Celebrities are looked upon as idols in this country. They are symbols for a lot of people, young and old. They aren't trying to MAKE YOU vote the way they vote, but they ARE trying to get the information OUT THERE where people can see it! For example, Leonardo DiCaprio is a hunk, right? So, all these young girls like him, even young women, and not so young women. Say there's something these people don't know anything about, for lack of watching the news, etc. Well, they check Leo's fan page and BADA BOOM BADA BING there's some information that MEANS something. Perhaps these celebrities get people INVOLVED by passing along information that we wouldn't have had otherwise.

Regardless, you people are judgemental, rude and just plain wrong. He didn't say "LOOK AT ME THIS IS MY OPINION ABOUT BARACK OBAMA, EVERYONE LISTEN CAUSE I MATTER MORE THAN YOU" he just said....hey, this is my opinion, what do you think?

You commenters make me ashamed to be an American at times like these. Freedom of Speech is your RIGHT, but that doesn't mean you should always take advantage of it.....ugh.

I love Tom Hanks in film. But, I just lost respect for him. He needs to realize that he is an actor. We no more care about his opinion than anyone else's. All actors should realize this. Getting people to vote is one thing, but the opinion of a group of privilidged people isn't really relevant to the rest of us.

I only kind of agree with 10:05 true celebrities should keep their political views to themselves...but tom hanks is a beast actor omg I LOVE HIM!!! well not to much now but he is amazing!!

10:05, I agree with what you said, with the exception of putting Tom down because he's "grown with a MySpace page". There are many, many adults out there with MySpace pages; it doesn't make them "losers". What makes Tom a loser is that he's so arrogant as to think that his opinion actually matters and that we will vote the same because he wants us to.

Tom's endorsement of Obama doesn't mean a thing to me, Obama is friends with anti-semetic people, friends with terrorists, his wife, Michelle, is ashamed to be an American, etc. I hope either McCain or Clinton win!? Also, Barack's not even qualified to be president, etc.

They are going to say whatever they think you want to hear. I dont doubt that she has lied, but the fact is..they ALL have. She is not the first nor will she be the last. My problem with Obama is that he has been going to that church for 20 years and is trying to play it off as if his pastor just woke up one day and starting spewing this crap?! Highly unlikely! The only thing his pastor has said that I completely agree with, in summary, is that Obama is saying what he has to- to win.

Yes, I would love to see any well-deserving person of ANY color, not just african american, get into office. I would love to see any well-deserving woman get into office. Women have been oppressed and treated like crap longer than ANY race can claim. It would all be a move forward towards equality. However, I will not vote for someone based on this alone if they dont have what it takes to get the job done.

It is so obvious that Tom was just being sarcastic and poking fun at the media for asking him who he would vote for knowing a celebrity is not a person of educated influence...educated as in holding some sort of career in politics to have a better understanding of what really goes on and the qualifications one would need. But since they were asking the question he exercised his right to voice his opinion...nothing wrong with that!

Hillary is a pyscho-path, mentally ill liar. The ridiculous stories she's made up -- from her dodging bullets as she ran for cover in Bosnia (blames telling the story for 2 years on being tired?!), how Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on 911 (she was in bed), how she was named for Sir Edmund Hilary after he climbed Mt. Everest (she was 5 when he did), how she knew nothing about all the pardons (they were friends of hers), and the list goes on. All politicians 'lie'. She's the only one I can know that makes up fairy tale stories.

And shame on her -- she's talking about bombing Iran while we're struggling fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? She put our soldiers in Iraq because she was too busy to read the intelligence report provided to her before she voted yes... then said if she had she wouldn't have?

The woman is dangerous!! Tom Hanks knows the Clintons well. So does Oprah and the rest of the ex-Clintons staffers that support Obama. They support him because they know Hillary well and don't like her!!! She is evil.

I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet but I think we've got incredible candidates this year and I couldn't be happier. I'm sick of hearing people criticize Hillary. She is well educated, well spoken, and let's not forget we had a great 8 years under Bill Clinton. MUCH better than the last 8 have been! This whole "they're liars" thing has yet to be proven convincingly by anyone. It's usually just people who are bitter about Clinton's infidelity which really has no bearing on my decision, sorry. I don't agree with cheating but I'm rather more worried about foreign affairs. Bill was a very popular president before the scandal.

Obama does not need to be president. His minister hates white people and his wife is ashamed to be an American. Obama talks about whites sterotyping blacks but yet he sterotypes whites.
