Then, when it is shot out into space and found, perhaps thousands or millions of light years from now, by far more intelligent beings than us, they could possibly examine the footage of this catastrophe and warn their own children of the horror and tragedy that befell a once-wise and noble human race, so that it never, ever, ever happens anywhere else.
