How did you meet?
"Geoff and I met while working for the New Orleans Hornets basketball team. He was displaced after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, along with the team that had moved temporarily to Oklahoma. We got to know each other at work for several months before we started dating."
Tell Us about your engagement.
"He proposed at the Grand Canon, which was really special because we moved to Arizona together last year and this is where we are beginning our life together.
Have you overcome any obstacles?
"When Geoff and I had only been dating for three weeks, his mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away a month-and-a-half later. I never got to meet her. Geoff has gone through so many changes in such a short time: he also lost everything in Hurricane Katrina."
Which past celebrity wedding is your favorite and why?
"Matt LeBlance and his now former wife's wedding on a cliff in Kauai, Hawaii. The view from above was amazing!"
Describe your Dream Wedding.
"A beach or somewhere warm. My dream wedding would have all of our closest friends and family there. We would like to honor his mother and loved ones we've lost in a special way. I am happiest when I am near the ocean and would like to walk through the sand and meet him at the altar by the shore.
Why should people vote for you?
"Right now Geoff and I can't even begin to think about a budget for this wedding or how to pay for it. We are just starting out in our careers and doing the best we can to stay ahead in a very tough market. There are times when I just want to elope but I know that I would be giving up on a dream."
