Whoopi Goldberg reached out to Patrick Swayze on The View this morning.
"We want you to feel better – we'll talk soon, I hope," she said of her costar in 1990's Ghost.
"When I won my Academy Award [for the film], the only person I really thanked was Patrick," she said.
According to Goldberg, Swayze told the director of Ghost, "I'm not making this movie unless you put Whoopi Goldberg in there."
Swayze has been undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed last month.
Swayze's Red Dawn costar Lea Thompson told Us that he'll "be resilient."
