Mike Myers use to be the go-to guy for comedy. But his Austin Powers films were so heavily merchandised (I never saw so much unrelated advertising) that he seemed to sell himself out (as well as his characters). Love Guru seems to be more of the same. Gone are the innocent fun days of Wayne's World.

Carrell has his hits (The Office, 40 Year Old Virgin) and misses (that ark movie) but he seems to be more of a clean slate, more potential than missteps.

It's not about who is funnier, they both can be funny. It's about where they are in their career. I think Myers peaked in the 1990s while Carrell is just nearing the top of his game.

I love both of them!! They are two of the funniest men on the face of the earth. Meyers should do another Austin Powers movie and have Carell in it. I am not sure what character it would be, but tell me that wouldn't be the funniest movie ever!! I love Carell in Anchor Man. The funniest part is when they are in the office and all the guys are talking about the new female anchor and he says the bears can smell the womens menstruation. The way he says it is flippin' hilarious. I really want to go and see the Love Guru and Get Smart. They both look like crazy funny movies.

i agree with liz! mike myers' comedy is old fashioned and steve carrell is witty and refreshing. whats so funny about having mike myers make a million movies dressed up as different characters. its like watching austin power's all over again. maybe his comedy is for people who still laugh at obvious comedy nothing witting or new.

liz you have no idea what your talking about.you shouldnt talk for everyone cuz you dont talk for me thats for sure. i love mike meyers, he is so funny. but steve is very funny too. i like both. they both do comedy but at the same time they a different. i just love them both, and mike meyers isnt just some new comer, he has been here for a long time and i'm sure he is not going away.

anyone who has watched the office clearly knows steve is hilarious. they could have him just give facial expressions & not say a word & the show would still be funny. i love this guy & i love the office! if you havent watched it , you dont know what you are missing.

That's like asking what you like better - Ice Cream or Ice Cream. Impossible to choose between the two. Both are incredible. I'd watch a movie of either of them reading a phone book.
