My little boy is 4.5 and doesn't want to cut his hair. Its not as long as Ryder's (only maybe a tiny bit past his shoulders), but I honestly think that if a child wants to have control over something as small as their hair length, then why not? There is little they can have a say in at that age and this has no harm to them to let them decide. Its adults, not small kids, that have the problem with it. Let them be creative and expressive while they are still kids and can. Its just hair people. :)
