This is nothing to be blue about! In addition to being one of the handiest makeup tools around, Beautyblender never fails to brighten up our vanities with vibrantly colored sponges, and its latest addition — Beautyblender Sapphire — is no exception. To celebrate the jewel tone launch, the brand has teamed up with Riverdale actress Madelaine Petsch on a series of fun videos showing off how she uses the teardrop-shaped workhorse to take her look from day to night with just a few taps.

A longtime favorite for applying complexion perfectors like liquid foundation and BB Creams, the new Sapphire uses the same water-activated technology to easily bounce and blend any product into the skin. The gem-inspired, limited-edition shade is part of the brand’s “after dark” collection, and Madelaine is here to show Us how it doesn’t take much effort to transition her daytime to look to bit more evening-appropriate glam.

Starting with a simple base of foundation, mascara and lip gloss, the actress likes to add dimension to her face with a bit of contour and highlight. She dabs a few drops of liquid contour beneath the cheekbone and along the sides of her nose and blends with her damp Beautyblender, of course, before moving on to highlighter. To create a soft focus glow, Madelaine taps the pearlescent liquid onto the highpoints of the face.
