Matthew McConaughey

From indie hero in Dazed and Confused to late-’90s “it” star, the Texas native has been the recipient of plenty of “Sexiest Man” honors.

Matthew McConaughey was born on November 4, 1969 and studied film at the University of Texas at Austin.

After critical duds Amistad and EdTV, McConaughey switched to romantic comedies including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Failure to Launch and Fool’s Gold.

McConaughey welcomed son Levi, with Brazilian model Camila Alves, in July 2008, and daughter Vida in January 2010. They married in June 2012.

His memoir, Greenlights, was released in 2020.

He is currently developing his own line of swim apparel dubbed j.k. livin, named after his production company – and personal mantra – “Just keep livin.’”
