Olivia Wilde

Born Olivia Jane Cockburn on March 10, 1984, in New York City, the actress adopted the stage name Olivia Wilde years later. The 5’7″ star burst onto the scene in 2004 as Mischa Barton‘s girlfriend, Alex, on the hit show The O.C.

Wilde began appearing in small roles in a variety of projects before landing a part on the hit drama House M.D. in 2007, playing Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley. While she has also starred in several films such as Tron: Legacy and Life Itself, she made her directorial debut in 2019 with Booksmart.

The actress’ life has been compared to a fairy tale — literally. In 2003, she eloped with the son of an Italian prince, Tao Ruspoli, on a school bus in Washington, Virginia, making her an official princess. They separated in February 2010 after eight years of marriage.

Wilde got engaged to Jason Sudeikis in 2013. The Drinking Buddies costars welcomed son Otis in 2014 and daughter Daisy in 2016. After nine years together, Us confirmed in November 2020 that the longtime pair split.

Wilde was spotted holding hands with Harry Styles in January 2021 while attending his manager’s wedding. The pair worked together on Don’t Worry Darling, in which the singer stars and the actress directs. After nearly two years together,  the pair split in November 2022.
