Keyshia Cole

Born on October 15, 1981 in Oakland, Calif., Keyshia Cole is a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter. Her career began at the age of 12, when she recorded songs with MC Hammer.

Since her early music days, Cole has collaborated with many well-known artists, including Diddy, Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim and Kanye West. Her sophomore album, Just Like You, was released in 2007 and sold 300,000 copies in its first week.

Cole also has a reality show, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is on BET; the third season will air in November 2008. Cole’s highly anticipated new album, A Different Me was released in December 2008.
