Send our love to the photographer! Adele rarely makes appearances without her signature, flawless winged eyeliner in place, so it was quite a surprise to see her without a stitch of makeup in a photo she shared via Instagram on Wednesday, July 20.
The “Hello” singer, 28, poses casually in the black-and-white pic, sitting cross-legged in a chair while clad in a lace dress and leopard shoes. Her strawberry-blonde hair is undone, and her face, even without makeup, is luminous. Ignoring the rareness of the image, the caption simply states where the photo was snapped: “Vancouver, CA.”

Perhaps just to prove that the post was not a fluke, Adele shared a second makeup-free pic that same day. Like most of her Instagram shares, it, too, is black and white, and pictures the universally adored Grammy winner working just her porcelain complexion and a “Canucks Security” button-up. (The Canucks play at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, where Adele is set to perform on July 21.)
The “Hello” diva is in the middle of her world tour, which sold out as soon as tickets went on sale in December. And yet, while she holds the hottest ticket in town, she continues to make headlines for her hilarious gaffes on stage. Back in June, Time reported that during one performance in Glastonbury, England, Adele cursed no less than 30 times. At one point, she joked, “S–t, I did that wrong. Perfect time to f–k up a song!”

At the same fest in Glastonbury, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer also accidentally burped in a fan’s face while taking a selfie. She shouted, “Oh, my God, I just burped!” before launching into her famous cackle. She then apologized by telling the crowd she’d had a “dirty burger” before she hit the stage.

But the mishaps only make her fervent fan base love her more. “I like her even more. She is divine,” one person tweeted at the time. A second added, “I LIVE FOR ADELE CURSING.”
