Selfie time! Ariana Grande's straight, half-up hairstyle is the singer’s most recognizable look, but last night Grande changed it way, way up by revealing her naturally curly hair on Instagram.
Posting a collage of four separate selfies showing off each angle of her voluminous 'do on Sunday, Sept. 20, the "One Last Time" singer, 22, wrote, "Peekaboo healthy curls," adding, "long time no see."Grande's tresses were done up in a side-part style with two braids keeping the hair out of her face.
Later on, the star joked that her natural curls reminded her of her curly haired dog Ophelia. "Ophelia, we match!!!!!!" she captioned a video posted to her Instagram page on Sept. 20. The video shows Grande as she runs around her house, exciting her pup about her new locks.
The pop singer has admitted in the past that she wore the same hairstyle because her hair was so damaged after starring on Nickelodeon shows Victorious and its spinoff, Sam & Cat. "I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat… as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair," she wrote, defending her hair on Instagram in January 2014. "My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions, but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down. Trust me, it’s… difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined."
