Hometown glory!
Cara Delevingne is the new face of Rimmel London, the British beauty brand announced on April 13. The London-born model, 23, now serves as brand ambassador and “will star in a range of advertising campaigns for the cutting-edge colour brand,” a Rimmel press release read.
“I’m honoured to be working with Rimmel London. It’s the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager,” the Suicide Squad star continued in the release. “I’m a London girl, through and through, and Rimmel London truly captures and represents the city’s edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles.”
It was a natural choice on Rimmel’s end too: Montse Passolas, vice president of global marketing at Rimmel London, said that Delevingne’s “striking look and unique sense of style mean she’s the personification of Rimmel cool.”
Delevingne, who joins fellow ambassadors such as Rita Ora and Kate Moss, once told the Telegraph that “makeup plays a huge part in my professional life, and I love the way I can use it to transform myself.”
