Blue steel! Gigi Hadid put on a fierce performance as the lead model in the impromptu Zoolander 2 runway show at the flick’s premiere in NYC on Tuesday, February 9. And while her walk was spot on, we couldn’t help but notice her blue eyeshadow game.
The Maybelline brand ambassador, 20, rocked a head-turning navy smoky eye, balanced with a nude lip. She paired the statement beauty look with an intricate, vintage-inspired updo that featured a crystal hairpiece.
Hadid donned a red, white and blue one-shoulder gown by Marc Jacobs for the event. As the first model in the show, she led Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell and L’Oréal brand ambassador Irina Shayk — not to mention the original cast of characters themselves, Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), Hansel (Owen Wilson) and Mugatu (Will Ferrell) — down the runway.
The excitement of the premiere turned fashion show was only topped later in the night, by reaching a milestone on social media. Taking to Instagram, Hadid posted a picture of herself in a sultry gown with a pair of fuzzy kittens. “13M ?!” she wrote of her growing followers. “Love you guys mucho. Always grateful for your support xx 😽”
