Sorry, braided ponytail, there's a new plaited hairstyle on the red carpet.
Judy Greer rocked a deceptively simple updo at the premiere of FX's new series, Married, on July 14th. The braided hairstyle, courtesy of celeb stylist Gregory Russell, is made up of just three separate braids that join together at the nape of the neck for a romantic effect.
"I started with Kevin Murphy Resort Spray in damp hair and then blew it out with an Ibiza round brush," Russell tells Us Weekly. "I then applied some Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel to the ends of Judy's hair."
He then parted the hair in the center and pinned up the crown section to braid at the end. "I French braided each side back and fastened the end with a clear elastic," Russell says. "Then I braided the crown section." He roughed up each of the braids and pulled out a few wisps around the face.
"After spraying more Kevin Murphy Resort Spray, I pinned the side braids into two low buns and connected them with the crown braid to complete the look," he tells Us, adding that he finished with a spritz of Kerastase Laque Couture.
