“I’m already having more fun,” the model, 23, captioned the shot, showing off her platinum blonde locks trimmed and layered to perfection.

The L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador, who was honey blonde, is known for making a statement with her locks. In December 2012, she debuted what hairstylists went on to refer to as “The Karlie” — a swingy, chin-length bob — after chopping off almost seven inches of her own hair. She gave the scissors a break for a while, letting it grow into a lob over the next few years. Fast forward to January 2016, when she made Us turn our heads after emerging with a shorter style in New York City (it turned out to be a faux-cut).

While we swoon at all of Kloss’ mane moments, her hair-story also includes its shares of lows. “There was this one photo shoot about five years ago where I had to dye my hair red,” she told InStyle UK in a June 28 post. “We’re talking red red. They also ended up bleaching my eyebrows – I was so devastated. Because I had fine, ‘virgin’ hair, for the next two years I’d find myself with this little undertone of strawberry blonde every time it was exposed to the sun.”

Kloss’ dye job isn’t her only big news of the week. On Wednesday, July 27, Express announced an exciting partnership with Kloss. The clothing line’s newly minted brand ambassador and creative consultant will serve as the face of the Fall 2016 #ExpressLife campaign.

“I am excited to work closely with Express as a creative consultant and brand ambassador,” she said in a July 27 press release. “I grew up wearing and shopping at Express in St. Louis, and have always loved the brand for its everyday, versatile looks that work for so many aspects of my life, whether I’m at work, school or out with friends. I cannot think of a better brand to collaborate with and create designs that capture my personal style.”
