Bye, bye, ombre! Lauren Conrad ditched her signature brown-to-golden locks in favor of a trendy, ice-blonde hue on Thursday, June 30.
Conrad's new platinum color, which debuted via her celeb colorist Kristin Ess' Instagram, is on the cool end of the blonde spectrum, rather than the warm side, which she typically favors. "Got to spend this morning with my human doll @laurenconrad 👑," Ess captioned the shot of The Hills alumna's beach-waved locks. In the snap, Conrad, 30, wears a white-striped tee with oversized black shades and minimal makeup.
The Celebrate author first experimented with platinum back in 2014, when she debuted the look on her own Instagram page, writing, "Things are getting real blonde around here…"
LC is the latest in a slew of celebs, including Taylor Swift, Emma Roberts and Jennifer Lawrence, to recently take their blonde strands to an even brighter level. And she isn't even the only one to go platinum June 30.
Ashley Tisdale also showed off lived-in, way-blonder locks (also by Ess) via Instagram. "Cool for the summer 😎 thanks to my girls @kristin_ess and @priscillavalles #blondedreamin'," she wrote along with a pic of her tousled, textured style. Previously, Tisdale, 30, sported golden ombre locks, similar to Conrad's, and before that she flirted with deeper red and even rose gold hues.
