Positive steps forward! Eight weeks after leaving rehab, Amanda Bynes glowed with good health as she was photographed leaving the gym in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
The Hairspray actress, 27, who has been making regular trips to the gym since leaving a Malibu rehab facility back in December, looked fit in her fitness attire. Revealing her toned legs in black running shorts, Bynes looked sporty in a matching black T-shirt and sneakers. The former child star — who was treated for mental health issues — also left her long tresses parted down the center as she carried an oversized tote and small Chanel purse.
Another noticeable transformation revealed by the Nickelodeon alum? Bynes bared her right forearm Wednesday, where the remnants of her once-prominent angel wing tattoo were nearly faded. Recent photographs of Bynes have indicated that the She's the Man star underwent laser removal treatment to remove the ink from her arm.
Post-rehab, Bynes has been taking classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising with an eye on a career in the industry. Following her release from rehab in December, Bynes' lawyer Tamar Arminak told Us Weekly that the former child star planned to pursue an alternative career: "She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line," Arminak said.
"Despite the fact that Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing," her attorney continued. "She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."
