Ciara Reveals How She Lost 60 Pounds in 4 Months: Check Out Her Ridiculously Toned Post-Baby Body

The incredible shrinking Ciara! After welcoming son Future in May 2014, Ciara was committed to losing the baby weight (and losing it fast!). With multiple trips to the gym each day and a strict diet, the “I Bet” songstress dropped 60 pounds in just four months.

“When I was pregnant with Future, one thing I learned quickly was, don’t ever let a pregnant lady be hungry, because when I was, I was like the Tasmanian Devil!” Ciara, 29, says in the September issue of Shape. “But as soon as the doctor said I could start training again, I was on the treadmill the very next day.”

The hot mama, who split with ex-fiance Future in August of 2014, relied on the fitness expertise of Gunnar Peterson, the celeb trainer who’s also responsible for Khloe Kardashian‘s “revenge body.” “Five days a week, Gunnar puts me through an hour-long plyometric cardio circuit that always includes boxing elements,” Ciara, who released her sixth album, Jackie, in May, explains. “It’s hitting your muscles; it’s a cardiovascular workout; and it’s a mental exercise… After I’ve done a few rounds, I feel as if I can conquer the world.”

Or keep working out. “I would go to Gunnar first for my one-hour training session, then I’d have two more cardio sessions later in the day,” Ciara reveals of her three-a-day workouts. “That, along with a really clean eating plan, was how I lost 60 pounds in four months.”

But this routine isn’t just about losing the post-baby poundage, it’s about having goals and living up to them. “I truly believe that if you put your goals in writing, speak them out loud, and work for them, they will happen,” she tells Shape
