Just overdid it during dinner! Tiffany Brien knows how to get rid of stomach bloating — and fast. The fitness blogger is gaining attention for two photos she posted that show how she can go from bloated to flat abs in just a couple of hours.
Brien shared the pics on her Facebook account on June 15. In the first photo, Brien’s stomach is noticeably bigger. In the second, she miraculously has a flat belly while wearing the same pajamas. The snapshots have since been shared more than 15,000 times and commented on by more than 3,000 viewers.
“No I’m not 6 months pregnant. It’s just my food baby … These two photos are 12 hours apart, left before bed and right when I woke up … I know right!!” she captioned the images. “We are not all what we seem on social media. I thought I would share a bad day with you to show you nobody is ‘perfect’ and it is OK to have an off day where your body just decides to not play ball. Don’t worry girls, it happens to the best of us, all part and parcel of being a female! It is a delightful cocktail of lack of sleep, stress, hormones and food intolerances. A mixture for a whole lotta bloat.”
The writer even got a kick out of the striking difference. “To make matters worse it seems to happen at incredibly inconvenient times,” she added. “On a evening out for dinner in a lovely tight dress. I could be half way into my main course and I suddenly feel uncomfortable and now really unattractive with a big bloated belly!”
Luckily, Brien might not have to be embarrassed on future nights out. Over time, she has learned a few things that might stop the swelling. Her top tips? Get plenty of sleep, keep track of when you bloat in a food diary, don’t over exercise (“exercising will most likely make it worse!”), drink peppermint tea and try out health supplements such as multivitamins and probiotics. And more than anything, she encourages readers to “relax and be happy.”
