Kim Kardashian stepped out with a smile in one of her most interesting ensembles yet in L.A. on Tuesday, July 19, just two days after putting Taylor Swift on blast.
The slimmed-down mom of two looked slimmer than ever in black-legging capris with an oversize black T-shirt, cinched together with a leather corset.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, the social media maven, 35, and her husband, Kanye West, aren’t concerned about Swift potentially suing them over the release of the audio from the call between the two Grammy winners. In fact, the power couple had the internet-breaking moment all planned out.
“Kim was just waiting and didn’t want to post the video initially. She’s not a conflict person,” a source told Us of Kardashian’s decision to release Swift’s conversation with her hubby on Snapchat. “But Kim feels like it gets to a point where you actually have to start saying something.”
Their feud began after Swift, 26, claimed earlier this year to not know about West’s controversial “Famous” lyrics. According to Kimye, Swift was well-informed and even approved of the lyrics prior to the track’s February release. The 1989 singer, however, insisted on Sunday that she was only informed of part of the lyrics, and that she didn’t know she would be referred to as “that bitch” in the hit track.
Swift’s speech at the 2016 Grammy was what ultimately pushed Kimye over the edge, an insider told Us.
“They wouldn’t have released that tape had she not dedicated her Grammys speech to bashing Kanye for something she was aware of,” the source explained. “Kim and Kanye hope that one day they can make up with Taylor. They aren’t interested in having this beef.”
Swift, for her part, isn’t either. The songstress concluded in her statement on Sunday: “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
