You didn’t have to tune into HBO on Sunday, Jan. 11, to see Lena Dunham naked. The Girls star and creator, 28, attended the 72nd Annual Golden Globes, where she was nominated for her role as Hannah Horvath and for the Best Television Series Comedy/Musical.
Prior to the show, Dunham’s pal and Girls executive producer Jennifer Konner posted some racy photos of the writer and actress in a robe without a top. Covering her nipples were two flesh-colored pasties.
“#FREETHENIPPLE cover. @lenadunham,” Konner captioned the Instagram picture.
After posting several images of the cast of the HBO comedy at the awards show, Konner also shared a close-up image of Dunham wearing the nude covers on her cheeks.
“Another great use for nipple covers! @lenadunham,” the producer captioned the shot.
The fourth season of Girls premiered on HBO the same night, but featured star Allison Williams — not Dunham — in the most compromising position.
Williams’ character Marnie shared a raunchy moment with her love interest Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) that required her to, ahem, clean her backside.
