Every bride wants to look as gorgeous as possible on her wedding day — and celebrity brides are no different! Some of them may have the benefit of personal trainers and chefs to keep their arms, abs, legs, everything super-fit 365 days a year. But still, they want to look their absolute best when they walk down the aisle — whether it be in Hollywood or some exotic locale. And their fitness and diet regimens leading up to their vows reflect that.
Take Jennifer Lopez, for instance. When the star started to get ready to wed — for the fourth time! — to baseball legend Alex Rodriguez, she was determined to look hotter than ever. And her trainer Dodd Romero — who focuses on resistance training and weightlifting rather than cardio, which was J.Lo’s previous favorite — developed a plan to make that happen. “My philosophy is tiny and tight. My goal is to make her tiny and tight, not bigger and bulky,” he told Us Weekly exclusively in January 2019.
Other betrothed women, like Katy Perry, focus simply on staying active. The American Idol host frequently goes on hikes with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, and is a fan of yoga, bike riding and jumping rope.
Some couples even get in shape together for the big day. Bachelor Nation’s favorite engaged couple, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, signed on as South Beach Diet ambassadors and both started doing the diet! After that, they never battled over what to eat for dinner. With the diet plan meals in their freezer, Iaconetti told Us in February 2019, “we agree on what we’re going to have and we know to stick to that plan.” She’s also stepping up her fitness efforts. “I like P.volve and I like Pilates, so kind of low impact and more muscle movement and less cardio,” she shared.
