Before finally taking their relationship public, the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” collaborators couldn’t keep their hands to themselves on their romantic beach dates. The duo, who confirmed their relationship in July 2019, were seen locking lips while taking a dip at Miami Beach just weeks after cozying up to one another at a West Hollywood restaurant.
“He kissed her forehead and she hung her head on his shoulder. They looked like a couple and in love,” a source told Us Weekly of the musicians at the time. The twosome played around in the ocean before holding hands on a barefoot boardwalk stroll.
While some couples have kept spicing up their relationships after their beachside PDA, others have fizzled out. Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were seen canoodling at Malibu Beach in August 2018, five years after they first sparked up their surprising romance. An eyewitness told Us at the time that the duo were absolutely smitten with one another on their adorable beach outing.
“They were totally engaged with each other,” the beachgoer said after seeing the couple challenging each other to a round of volleyball and relaxing on their beach blanket. “They were never on their phones. She had this incredible smile on her face.”
Despite their loved-up lazy day at the beach, the Dawson’s Creek alum and the Ray star never had any plans to walk down the aisle. “Katie and Jamie live a very private lifestyle and intend to keep it that way,” a source explained in April 2019, four months before Us confirmed the duo had called it quits. “They don’t plan on getting engaged anytime soon because they’re happy with how things are right now.”
