Alec Baldwin may have a tough-guy reputation, but when it comes to his newborn daughter, he's a total softie. On Sunday, Sept. 8, about two weeks after wife Hilaria Baldwin gave birth to their little bundle of joy, the 30 Rock alum enjoyed an afternoon out in New York City with his favorite leading ladies.
The actor, 55, was the very picture of a doting dad. Both he and first-time mom Hilaria, 29 — chic as ever in a clingy knit skirt, black cardigan, and heels — had eyes only for baby Carmen, who looked adorable in a pink-and-white striped hat and matching onesie. Each took turns holding her as they sat amid a crowd of other New Yorkers at the park.
As previously reported, the couple welcomed their first child together on Aug. 23. (Baldwin is also dad to a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.)
"We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Carmen Gabriela," the actor's wife announced on Twitter. "She is absolutely perfect."
Indeed, the new mom can't seem to get enough of her little girl. "Since giving birth, the word 'love' has taken on a whole new meaning," she gushed on the social-media site. "Its depth and intensity are overwhelming in the most welcome way."
Later, she added: "I don't want this to go by too fast." And then, on Sept. 3: "Motherly love is letting daddy & Carmen sleep while sacrificing my own siesta by holding her in just the position she wants. #anythingforher."
Incidentally, Carmen isn't the only recent addition to Baldwin's life. The second-time father is also developing a new current events show, Up Late With Alec Baldwin, to premiere on MSNBC in October. "Congratulations @ABFalecbaldwin on your other baby @UpLateWithAlec on @msnbc," Hilaria tweeted on Sept. 5. "I'm so proud of you."
