All is good! Ben Seewald gave fans an update on his wife, Jessa Duggar, and their newborn son on Friday, Nov. 6, just hours after the couple welcomed their first child into the world.
“Our sweet baby boy was born last night. He weighed 9 lbs and 11 ounces and is 21 1/4 inches long! He’s precious and both he and Jessa are doing great. Stay tuned — we will share his name soon!” the new dad wrote on their website.
On the Duggar family’s blog, the brood revealed that the little guy weighed exactly 1 ounce more than his cousin Israel Dillard.
Us Weekly confirmed the 19 Kids and Counting star, 23, gave birth to a baby boy Thursday evening. Seewald’s sister, Jessica, was first to spill the news, posting a note on Instagram which read: “I’m an auntie!”
Jessa’s family members have since extended their congrats. “Congrats to Jessa and Ben on the birth of their baby boy!" Jessa’s brother-in-law Derick wrote on Instagram. " @ben_seewald @jessaseewald y'all are great parents already! May you raise this little guy in the love and admonition of our Lord. #congrats #newparents #newnephew #prouduncle."
The new parents got engaged in August 2014 after just 11 months of dating and tied the knot that November. In April, they announced they were expecting.
