Veteran mom Beverley Mitchell doesn’t need to give BFF and fellow 7th Heaven alum Jessica Biel any parenting advice.
“She’s got this,” Mitchell told Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 1, at the Biggest Baby Shower Ever hosted by Big City Moms in L.A. “I think the biggest thing is that every mom does things differently, so it’s about owning your own way of being a mom.”
Mitchell — who wore a tiered Ella Moss dress to the event — revealed that her daughter Kenzie, 2, and son Hutton, 13 months, have playdates with Biel and Justin Timberlake’s boy, Silas.
“Silas and Hutton are 10 weeks apart!” the 35-year-old told Us. “It’s always fun when your best friend has a baby around the same age … It’s fun to be able to share the adventures together.”
Mitchell’s latest adventure: watching Hutton walk.
“He is just starting to take his 16 steps,” said Mitchell. “It’s terrible! It’s a game changer. He’s 1!”
Though Mitchell says there are no jealousy issues, Kenzie unintentionally plays rough with her little brother.
“Kenzie does a lot of headlocks and knocking down to ground,” Mitchell admitted to Us. “I think she is just getting her time now while she can, because pretty soon he is going to take her down!”
Still, the siblings do share sweet moments. “Kenzie loves to help and do everything,” the actress raved. “She tries to feed him and will come in the room when I’m putting him down for bed.”
Mitchell’s other helper is her accountant husband, Michael Cameron.
“We are the perfect team,” she gushed. “I couldn’t live without him. He is so supportive and we tag-team.”
