Nope, that’s not a food baby! Blake Lively opened up about her second pregnancy during a Wednesday, June 22, appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she joked about her growing baby bump.
Seth Meyers, who just welcomed son Ashe with wife Alexi Ashe, congratulated the Shallows actress, 28, on soon becoming a second-time mom, saying, “And you have a baby on the way.”
Lively, dressed in a fitted black frock, coyly replied, “What makes you say that?” Moments later, she acknowledged her baby on the way by rubbing her belly and then said, “Yes, you’re guessing correctly. This is not brownies.”
Meyers, 42, then asked Lively if she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, were ready to take care of two kids. “I feel like at a year and a half she’s equipped to be a babysitter,” the Gossip Girl alum quipped, referring to her daughter, James, 18 months. “Like, we can go out and go on date night.”
Lively told the late-night host that prior to having a child, she thought motherhood would be a breeze because she followed a mommy blogger on Instagram who made parenting look like all fun and games.
“Her toddler is giving her reflexology massages. What?! My kid is like playing with explosive devices. I don’t know where she found them,” she said with a laugh. “She already knows how to drywall because she puts holes in the wall.”
While looking after a little one might be more work than she expected, Lively hinted that she and her Deadpool actor hubby, 39, are planning on expanding their brood after baby No. 2 is born.
“I’m one of five kids. My husband is one of four, so we’re officially breeders!” she teased during a June 20 interview on the Today show. “You can go on our website and we will give you some of our children.”
