Carrie Underwood is one resourceful lady! The pregnant American Idol winner has found a new use for her growing baby bump — and she shared a photo of it on her Twitter feed on Thursday, Jan. 22.
"Pregnancy perk: using my belly as a tabletop for my snacks! Nom nom nom…" the 31-year-old country singer captioned the snap, which showed her curled up on a chair with one of her beloved dogs in the background, indulging her pregnancy cravings with a few chips.
The "Mama's Song" singer and husband Mike Fisher announced her pregnancy this past September, sharing a sweet photo of herself with her two dogs dressed in shirts reading, "I'm going to be a big sister" and "I'm going to be a big brother."
They waited a little while to discover their future child's sex, deciding not to allow the sonographer to reveal all during their scan, instead asking the doctor to write the answer on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope.
The couple went out for dinner and opened the envelope there. "Just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew," Underwood told ABC of the important moment they discovered they were having a son. "So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn't really speak of it before, 'cause we were both just like, 'Whatever. It's all good.' But we knew it was a boy."
