"He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home," Gellar told Us Weekly Wednesday of her stay-at-home husband. "You'd think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, 'No, I'll go to work!' but he's like, 'You stayed home for two years! It's my turn!'"

"He and Charlotte have too much fun," added Gellar, who was lending her support to military moms through Operation Shower with Pottery Barn Kids in Pacific Palisades, Calif. "I'm jealous!"

The 34-year-old actress admitted that it can "be really difficult" balancing her career with motherhood. "It's hard to see Charlotte's little face when you say you have to go to work. It's sad!" Gellar, who gave birth in September 2009, told Us. "But you make time for everything. You work it out."

Wednesday's event gave Gellar an opportunity to meet expectant wives of military men who may be deployed or are about to be deployed; Pottery Barn Kids surprised each of the attendees with brand new cribs and Carousel Designs supplied them with bedding.

"You stand next to these women and you realize how much they have to sacrifice," Gellar realized. "It's hard enough to have your partner, your spouse, go to work every day, but can you imagine? They don't know if they'll even come home or what condition they'll be in. And they're sacrificing all this for us."

Gellar said her little girl was inspired to help out, too. "She wanted to donate this morning! I explained what I was doing and she said, 'I'm going to give them a stuffed animal!'" the actress told Us. "For a two-and-a-half-year-old to give up a stuffed animal, that is a big deal!"
