“I might have called Jessica first,” the actress, 46, told Us Weekly exclusively on Thursday, February 7, during Television Critic’s Winter Press Tour. “She put the plan in action because I freaked out. Sad to say, my first impression was … I didn’t have my work wig on.”

The new mom added: “When I say I do lean on her, it’s kind of for a lot of things.”

In fact, Alba, who cofounded The Honest Company, decked out her costar’s trailer with parenting supplies. “She literally came in and outfitted my whole trailer,” Union revealed. “Like, I came to work and it was done.” Union even uses the same nanny that used to help the mother of three with her own kids.

When it comes to mentoring a new mom, though, Alba admitted to Us exclusively that she doesn’t “dole out advice” as much as she lends support because she knows how “lonely” parenthood can be.

“Even though I had friends that were moms … sometimes you just feel really isolated,” she explained. “And so, I just continually reach out and just tell Union, like, ‘Hey, I’m here and I got you, and I’m a shoulder for you or whatever you need.’”
