Heidi Montag’s Instagram feed is littered with bikini pictures. But the photo she shared on Monday, April 9, has special meaning. The 31-year-old is back to her pre-pregnancy weight six months after welcoming her son Gunner with husband Spencer Pratt.
“I decided that I was going to eat balanced meals (ok I definitely eat chocolate, cookies, something sweet everyday) for breast-feeding reasons and not to have any weight loss pressure,” the Hills alum captioned her post. When it comes to exercise, Montag noted that she’s just been “carrying Gunner around 24 seven.”
“It feels good but hasn’t been my priority. Maybe one day I will get back into the gym,” she wrote. “#momlife #baby.”
The 5-foot-2 star, who gained more than 45 pounds during her pregnancy, told Us Weekly last month that she was currently at around 107 pounds. “I’m eating healthier than when I was pregnant, ironically, because I want to make sure Gunner has all the nutrients he needs,” the nursing mother told Us. On the menu: a protein at every meal, some carbs and vegetables twice a day.
Most importantly, Montag is being kind to herself. ”Having a baby has made me really appreciate my body,” she told Us. “Not just how it looks. It’s just amazing, the human body.”
It’s a big change for Montag, who underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day in 2010. “I have no temptation to have any kind of surgery after having a baby,” she told Us in March. “I want to breast-feed and have my breasts for that.” But she’s not ruling out the possibility of going under the knife one more time. “Maybe I would get my boobs done after all the kids we have,” she mused. “But I might just be over that phase of my life.”
