A genius parody Twitter account is calling out the asinine advice working moms hear all the time. The anonymous creator — who writes under the handle @manwhohasitall —purports to offer “top tips for men juggling a successful career and fatherhood.” So it should come as no surprise that his “advice” has resonated with the female population.
“Guys — I urge you to enjoy @manwhohasitall and when I say enjoy, what I mean is lament everything about our society,” wrote one of his 126,000 followers, while another raved, “Your tweets are hilarious because they’re true. Crazy things women are told about their life would never be told to a man!”
Speaking in character, the U.K.-based author of From Frazzled to Fabulous shared with Us Weekly his top three tips for busy dads:
1. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You don’t have to be super dad! It’s absolutely OK to ask your wife, dad or one of your daddy friends for help. Whether you need someone to hold the baby while you have a shower, or advice on toddler tantrums, saying “I need help” is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
2. Get up earlier. My alarm clock goes off at 5 a.m. to give me an hour before my wife and kids get up. This gives me time to breathe, grab a coffee and update my gratitude journal before making the packed lunches and getting breakfast ready. Rising early gives dad a few moments of calm before the chaos ensues!
3. Dress in your “wow” colors. Adding a splash of color to your day can help you to feel calmer, happier and more creative! Enlist the help of a color therapist to help you choose which colors accentuate your skin tone, hair color and lifestyle. Dressing in clothes to suit your body shape can also give dads a much-needed confidence boost.”
The satirist also warned about the importance of staying hydrated. “Busy dads on the go often forget to drink enough water during the day, impacting on concentration levels, mood and productivity,” @manwhohasitall tells Us. “Your skin, hair and intimate penis area can also suffer from excessive dryness.”
