Pie for three! Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Sid.
“His name is Sid Biggs. He is 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21.25 inches long,” the proud new mom tells Us Weekly. “Born Feb. 15 at 5:33 p.m. Ended up having to have an unplanned C-section. Delivered at Cedars Sinai.”
Mollen shared the exciting news on Instagram Tuesday, Feb. 18. “February 15th, 2014 3:00am #babybiggs,” she captioned a video of herself sitting in a car with a car seat in the backseat. In the Instagram clip, Mollen looks tired and appears to be in labor, saying, “It hurts so bad.” Biggs can be seen in the background loading up the trunk, and asking his wife, “Did you grab your book?”
Mollen later posted a video from 5:33 p.m. of Biggs congratulating her after the birth of their son. “You did amazing, sweetie. I’m so proud of you,” the actor told his wife. “He’s beautiful. He’s pretty damn cute.”
“Sid Biggs. Full head of hair, huge penis, 10k twitter followers. #babybiggs,” Mollen captioned a photo of their adorable son sleeping born on Feb. 15. The new mom jokingly added a photo of herself fast asleep after taking pain relievers with the caption: “Mom is doing great and a fan of dilaudin.”
Biggs, 35, announced last July that the couple was expecting their first child together during an appearance on Chelsea Lately on July 17. “Her breasts look really engorged,” Chelsea Handler said at the time. “Her breasts are very big these days,” Biggs replied. “Would you like to know why? Cause I put a baby in her belly!” He pointed to his crotch and joked: “It works!”
Mollen confirmed the news herself on the same day. “My new assistant is so f—ing lazy!” she wrote via Instagram. Alongside the caption, she shared a sonogram of the pair’s little one.
As if Mollen’s baby announcement wasn’t funny enough, the mom-to-be also shared with Us exclusively how she celebrated her baby shower last November. “When my mother and sister told me they wanted to throw me a baby shower I was skeptical. I hate games, large groups, and being gifted shoes that I can’t fit into,” she admitted. “On the flip side, the shower was to be a high tea at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, and I love a good scone. So I reluctantly accepted.”
Mollen celebrated the intimate party with 30 guests, and feasted on tea sandwiches and her favorite candies. Biggs stopped by for pictures, and the couple’s 13-year-old dog Teets even joined in by eating whipped cream while sitting on Mollen’s lap.
“My requests for absolutely no games and ‘no making me open gifts in front of people’ were honored,” Mollen continued. “Sadly, my request for baby strippers was ignored. Next time.”
The Orange is the New Black star and actress Mollen — who will appear on this season of Girls — costarred in 2008’s My Best Friend’s Girl. They got engaged in January 2008 and tied the knot in Los Angeles three months later. Up next, Mollen’s new book, I Like You Just the Way I Am: Stories About Me and Some Other People, is set to hit shelves in June.
