George W. Bush has another grandkid to dote on! The former president’s daughter Jenna Bush Hager welcomed her second child, a baby girl, with husband Henry Hager on Thursday, Aug. 13, she revealed via Instagram.
“Welcome to the WORLD Poppy Louise Hager,” the proud second-time mom, 33, captioned a photo of herself and her husband with their newborn daughter. “Named after my darling Gamps who went by Poppy during his childhood. We are in LOVE.”
“Gamps,” of course, is former President George H.W. Bush. “We are proud to name [Poppy] after a man we so adore,” Henry told the Today show on Friday. (Jenna is a Today correspondent.)
According to Today, the newest addition to the Bush brood weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches in length. She joins big sister Margaret Laura, 2, who is named after Jenna and Henry’s mothers, Margaret Hager and Laura Bush.
The former First Daughter and her longtime love tied the knot in May 2008. They announced they were expecting their second child back in April.
