Forget lullabies. Channing Tatum has found the perfect way to soothe daughter Everly, 3 months — beatboxing!
"The baby is crying and you're like, 'What do I do to make her stop crying?' and all of a sudden he [Tatum] starts beatboxing and she starts cooing," Jenna Dewan-Tatum revealed in a sit-down interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday, Oct. 2. "I'm like, 'What?' I have been rocking her. I have been swaying her. I've been doing squats and he gets here and he's like … I'm not going to do a really bad beatboxing but…"
The new parents, who welcomed baby Everly into the world on May 31 in London, have even taken to beatboxing what they're doing throughout the day out of habit, Dewan-Tatum joked.
But Tatum's contributions don't end there. In fact, Dewan-Tatum told DeGeneres, the Jupiter Ascending actor actually takes pride in his "amazing" ability to change diapers.
"It's like the one thing he knows he can do," Dewan-Tatum said. "He's like, 'Let me get in there. Let me change those diapers.'"
"He's amazing. It's funny he's so sensitive," she added. "He's like this really strong big guy in life but you give him this little baby and he's like, 'Oh my god…Is she going to drop? Am I doing everything okay?'"
In June, Tatum admitted to Chelsea Handler that he was so worked up over Everly's birth that he broke down in tears at the hospital.
"I probably went to the bathroom four times and had a crying fit," he said at the time. "Like, I'm just like, 'I don't know what to do!'"
