Something to smile about. Joey Feek is living each day to the fullest amid her terminal cancer battle. The country singer and her husband and bandmate, Rory Feek, celebrated their daughter Indiana turning 22 months old on Thursday, December 17.
"…birthday bed-time kisses from Mama," Rory, 49, captioned sweet photos of his baby girl via Facebook. "Good night little one, today you are 22 months old."
The couple, who make up the bluegrass duo Joey + Rory, marked the special day in hospice care. Joey, 40, sat in bed and kissed her adorable baby girl. The singer kept warm under some blankets and wore a head wrap.
As previously reported, Joey entered hospice after stopping chemotherapy treatments in October. She recently told friends that she hopes to make it to Christmas.
"Joey's hope never fades. No amount of pain or medicine can touch it. It runs too deep. It’s connected to her faith in God," Rory wrote in a blog post on November 14. "And as she will tell you, God can do anything."
Rory often shares his admiration of his brave wife on Facebook. Earlier this month, he posted a photo of Joey teaching Indiana sign language. "It's 60 and sunny outside today and even brighter inside," he gushed on December 11. "Joey's out of bed teaching signs to Indy on the floor."
