Starting to show! John Stamos’ bride-to-be, Caitlin McHugh, debuted her baby bump during a casual stroll on Thursday, December 28.
The model and the Full House alum were spotted while hiking with their dogs at the TreePeople Park in Los Angeles. The mom-to-be, 31, dressed comfortably in Nike running sneakers, blue sweatpants and a magenta Santa Barbara hoodie. The 54-year-old actor wore a blue button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and paired it with cargo camouflage shorts and white sneakers. The duo both protected their faces with blue baseball caps during their walk.
The future parents were all smiles while holding their dogs’ leashes, and at one point, McHugh rested her hand on her baby bump.
A source confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple are expecting their first child together on December 13, just two months after Stamos popped the question. As previously reported, the duo got engaged after a romantic proposal at Disneyland in October. The actor shared an illustration of them in front of the Cinderella Castle on his Instagram page to announce their engagement on October 23, writing: “I asked…she said yes! …And we lived happily ever after💍”
McHugh then shared a photo of them kissing and captioned it: “I kissed the boy and said…yes! That’s what you do when the sweetest, most romantic Prince Charming treats you like a princess and asks you to be his 💍”
In November, the Scream Queens alum opened up about wanting kids with his new fiancée. “It’s been a long time and I’ve always been pretty vocal about wanting a family and wanting to be married, and everyone is like, ‘Why can’t you? You can do it.’ The truth is I just wasn’t the best me and I wasn’t going to attract someone like Caitlin,” he told Extra.“I had to work on myself and put in some time, and I know my mother would have been really happy with that, and this beauty just came into my life. It took time for me to really be the best person I could be.”
That same month, Stamos told Entertainment Tonight that he thought McHugh’s qualities would make her a good mom. “It’s just taken me a lot longer than I anticipated. It would be a tragedy if I didn’t have children and I finally found the right woman — the perfect woman,” he said. “I know my parents are smiling down. I know they would love her. She’s a gentle, kind, graceful soul who would be a good mother.”
The actor and McHugh started dating last year. Stamos was previously married to Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005.
