Don Draper's not ready to procreate just yet!
Mad Men's Jon Hamm says he and longtime love Jennifer Westfeldt aren't quite ready for kids.
"It's always on the periphery of the discussion, but we do not have children," the 40-year-old actor told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Tuesday. " And I have a tremendous amount of respect for my friends who do balance this particular career with raising a kid, 'cause it's a tricky environment to bring them into… So not for us just yet."
Hamm and Westfeldt, 41, met at a mutual friend's party in L.A. more than 14 years ago. So did the Friends with Kids star start off as just pals with the actress? "Oh, yeah, very much so. She was involved with somebody, and I may have been involved, as well," he told the site. "Yeah, we were friends for a long time before we officially started dating — and we've never gotten out of the 'dating' thing. We're still in it."
Hamm told Parade magazine last year he was missing "the marriage chip."
"Neither of us have the greatest examples of marriages in our families," he explained. "But Jen is the love of my life, and we've already been together four times longer than my parents were married."
