She’s got that glow! Second-time mom Kandi Burruss has a post-pregnancy excitement about her in a new photo that longtime pal Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris shared via Instagram on Wednesday, January 6.
“Just left my sis @kandiburruss & @toddd167 #BabyTucker is perfect!” the Xscape singer captioned the picture. “They have a real cutie! Congratulations again to my fam! #LookingGoodAfterDelivery #BabyTucker.”
In the cute snapshot, Cottle-Harris, 40, is throwing up a peace sign while leaning against the side of the hospital bed, where Burruss, 39, is resting after giving birth to a baby boy.
Burress later reposted the photo with a funny caption.
“I was happy to see my sis @majorgirl today,” the reality star wrote. “I’m mad we didn’t get to do a pregnancy belly pic together. We should’ve thought of that before today! Lol!”
The two women were members of R&B quartet Xscape back in the ’90s, before the group disbanded in the early aughts.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is already mom to daughter Riley, 13, from a previous relationship. Her husband, Todd Tucker, also has a daughter, Kaela, 19. This is their first child together.
Last July, Burruss opened up to Us Weekly about the many difficulties she and Tucker, 41, had trying to get pregnant.
“If you follow RHOA you know that Todd and I went over a lot of hurdles to conceive,” she told Us at the time. “We chose in vitro to help and found out it wasn’t 100 percent guaranteed, so when we found out that our procedure was successful, you can’t imagine our joy! Our family could now be complete with the addition of our baby love.”
The couple, who met when Tucker was a line producer for RHOA, tied the knot in a televised ceremony in April 2014.
