There, the newest member of the royal family, who turns two months old next weekend, will finally meet his great grandfather Prince Philip. Queen Elizabeth and her husband, 91, have been spending their annual extended holiday at Balmoral since late July; Philip has been recuperating from an "exploratory operation" for abdominal problems back in June, and had been unable to travel to London to meet his new great-grandson. (The Queen meet George at Kensington Palace the day after he was born.)

Along with their little one, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 31, plan to stay at Balmoral for a week. New dad William plans to bond with his grandfather for a hunt and, if weather prevails, they'll go deer stalking. Other royals already at Balmoral include Prince Andrew and daughters Princesses Beatrice Eugenie; Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla are nearby at Birhall, so will likely be joining in on the family fun.

An annual royal tradition, the family excursion at Balmoral is customarily about four weeks of shooting, shooting lunches, stalking picnics and meals served in the garden.
