Kelly Clarkson’s Son Remy Spent His Second Birthday With Toy Story’s Woody and Jessie

Kelly Clarkson made sure her son, Remy, second birthday in good company on Thursday, April 12. The toddler celebrated the milestone with Toy Story’s Woody and Jessie at the launch of Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Fest in Anaheim, California.

Remy was also joined by his big sister, River, 3, — and of his Grammy-winning mom who looked just as excited about meeting Woody and Jessie.

The Voice coach shares Remy and River with her husband, Brandon Blackstock. And she cherishes every moment with her family. “When you work, you miss things,” Clarkson revealed during a 2017 interview on Today. At the time, the 35-year-old still hadn’t heard Remy say the word “mama.”

“I’ll look at him and go, ‘mama,’ and he’ll go ‘dad,’” she said at the time. “And then my nanny and his grandma go, ‘Oh, he said mama this morning!’”

The “Piece by Piece” singer noted that she takes time to read to her little ones individually and brings them on the road with her when possible. “I don’t want to be one of those pop star moms that doesn’t see their kids,” she mused. “I want to hang out with them and be there.”

“It’s hard to be a really good mom and a really good person at your job,” she continued. “I have to release control and just say, ‘I’m not going to be able to be there for everything, and it’s OK, because I’m showing my daughter and my son that you can do both and achieve great things.”
