Kelly Ripa Cries, Is Surprised by Mark Consuelos and Kids During Her 15th Anniversary of ‘Live!’

Best Valentine’s Day ever! Kelly Ripa got the sweetest surprise from her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their three kids, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, during her emotional Sweet 15 anniversary celebration on the Friday, February 12, episode of Live! With Kelly and Michael.

In honor of the special occasion, Consuelos walked out with a bouquet of beautiful white roses to congratulate his wife of nearly 20 years. The sweethearts kissed on the lips as Ripa gushed about the gesture.

“They’re your favorite — gardenias,” Consuelos said to the former soap actress, 45, who first hosted the series in February 2001. “Hey, congratulations. Fifteen years! I’ve been kicking you out of bed for 15 years. Listen, the kids wanted to be here, but they have exams and school. They taped a little message for you, and they want you to see it.”

In the prerecorded clip, Michael, 18, Lola, 14, and Joaquin, 12, sit side by side on a couch at home and send their mom a sweet message. “Sorry if we weren’t always easy,” Lola tells Ripa, before the youngest adds: “You’re the best, and you deserve a celebration.”

Later in the episode, Ripa gave an emotional thank you to her coworkers and the audience, which was filled with celebrity guests supporting the star on her big day. “It is beyond my vocabulary to express to everybody here — family and friends, and the staff who feels like family and friends — what this means to me,” she told the crowd. “I owe… all of the good fortune I’ve had in my life, with my husband and my children, it’s all because you have been so supportive and so accepting of me into your homes every day.”

After her speech, Strahan brought out a grand bouquet of roses that was nearly as tall as Ripa herself. The 100 long-stemmed flowers from NYC’s L’Atelier Rouge were flown in directly from a rose farm in Ecuador and bundled into the perfect arrangement.
