North West is headed in a new direction: Home! One week after giving birth, Kim Kardashian checked out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, going home with baby North West, who was born last Friday, June 15, a source confirms to Us Weekly. Born five weeks premature following a "scary" medical emergency, little North remained in the hospital in order for doctors to closely monitor her health. "They needed to make sure she's breathing right and check her temperature," the source explains.
The night before Kardashian and baby checked out of the hospital, the instantly-famous infant's name was finally revealed; sources confirmed to TMZ and Us Weekly, with a birth certificate document the two-syllable moniker (sans middle name) chosen by Kardashian and Kanye West Friday morning.
During her week at the hospital, the reality star, 32 (with rapper West, 36, at her side) has fielded frequent visits from family members and close friends — including sister Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, mom Kris Jenner, BFFs Brittney Gastineau and Jonathan Cheban.
"I've been there every day," Gastineau, 29, told Us Weekly. "I'm so happy to be an auntie. Everything is normal…It's all meant to be. They have been amazing.""I've been there every day," Gastineau, 29, told Us Weekly. "I'm so happy to be an auntie. Everything is normal…It's all meant to be. They have been amazing."
