Khloe Kardashian was certainly embracing in the spirit of giving last week. The reality star, 31, hosted her massive family at her house in Calabasas, Calif., for Thanksgiving and still made time for her estranged hubby, Lamar Odom.
“She’s incredible,” momager Kris Jenner gushed about her daughter during a SiriusXM interview with Maria Menounos on Tuesday, Dec. 1. “What amazed me about her was it was so beautiful and it was so magical, and she had the table set and the food was delicious and everybody was so excited to be there and she made it — she must have had 300 candles lit — and the table was so beautiful … everything was divine and perfect.”
But what impressed Jenner, 60, even more was what happened once the plates were cleared at her daughter’s home on Nov. 26.
“She was like, ‘Okay, I’ve got to take Lamar’s food to the hospital!’ So she packed up this entire meal for him and off she went,” Jenner said. “You know, we had made these plans where we were going to have game night afterwards and do a whole thing, but she really just wanted to get out of there and go see and make sure he was okay for Thanksgiving. I thought, ‘Wow, that’s an amazing human.’ That really made my whole day.”
Kardashian has been caring for Odom since he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Oct. 13. His condition has been steadily improving since, but he remains hospitalized in L.A., and the reality star has been by his side every step of the way.
“I take my hosting duties seriously,” Kardashian previously wrote in a blog post about Thanksgiving. “My family is pretty large and extended. I cook and bake it all! After our Thanksgiving dinner is over, I invite friends to join, especially friends who don’t have family around. So we have a family Thanksgiving, a friends Thanksgiving, and this year I will also be having a hospital Thanksgiving.”
And though Kardashian had to duck out early, it seems her family still had a great holiday. Her younger sister Kylie Jenner posted a picture of all 16 guests via Instagram, writing, “thankful for my blended family.”
