Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici welcomed their second child on May 18 — but they’re already thinking about baby No. 3.
The couple, who fell in love and got engaged on The Bachelor season 17, are parents of 23-month-old Samuel and 2-week-old Isaiah. And though they have their hands full at the moment, Lowe, 34, told Us Weekly they will “probably” try for a daughter.
“I love having two kids. It’s nice because with two kids you don’t stretch yourself too thin,” Lowe, who partnered with the Banfield Foundation told Us. “You can show up at all the baseball games and dance recitals and things like that. But I would like to try to see if we could get a little girl that looks like mama.”
Being outnumbered by boys is something new for 32-year-old Giucidi. “Catherine was raised primarily by a single mom . . . and then she has two sisters,” Lowe told Us. “She’s now starting to understand that boys are different — especially when they grow up to be teenagers. There’s going to be a lot of fart jokes. I think it’s going to be good for her to experience this side of life, which she’s never been exposed to.”
Though Lowe predicts lots of “wrestling” in the future, at the moment, Samuel can not seem to stop loving on his new sibling. “We saw a couple of instances where Samuel seemed to be jealous if we held someone else’s baby. But he’s been great,” Lowe told Us. “When he saw his brother for the first time in the hospital we said, ‘Hey, Samuel, would you kiss your brother?’ And he kissed Isaiah and everyone in the room was like, ‘Awww.’ I think he realized, ‘Wait a minute. They like when I do this.’ So now he kisses Isaiah 100 times a day.”
As for the name Isaiah, Lowe admitted it took Giudici a little while to warm up to the moniker. “Catherine and I decided upon Samuel long before he was ever born,” he told Us. “We thought, what if we just stuck with the biblical names and Isaiah’s cool. You don’t hear it all that often. It was my idea, it took a little convincing!”
