Teen Mom's Maci Bookout only wants what's best for her 2-year-old son, Bentley, but the Tennessee-based student is learning the hard way that she won't get there without a struggle.
As a new clip from Tuesday's episode of Teen Mom shows, Bookout, 19, is in a bind when her current beau, Kyle King, 23, agrees to meet up with her ex, Ryan Edwards, also 23.
"I know it's important for them to meet, but I hope Ryan is nicer to Kyle than he is to me," Bookout says in the preview clip.
Though Edwards insists he'll be on his best behavior when meeting King, Bookout isn't convinced. "I know you, so I'm just double checking," she says, to which Edwards replies "Apparently not well enough."
"Kyle's not a big fan [of Ryan]," Bookout tells Us Weekly of King. "I think it just had a lot to do with the way Ryan treated me." (He once called her "lazy as f–k.") As for Edwards' motives [for the meeting], "I think 50 percent of it was wanting to meet the guy who was spending so much time with Bentley, and the other half was so he could feel in charge — like he had a say-so in something."
With the men in her life at odds, Bookout does acknowledge that Edwards has improved when it comes to parenting their son.
"They ride their four-wheelers together and play with trains," she says, "but Ryan still hates to brush Bentley's teeth and change diapers. I'm never going to win with that."
