Tiffani Thiessen's daughter might be one of the few kids in the U.S. who doesn't like french fries or cupcakes. According to the White Collar actress and mom of two, 5-year-old Harper favors snacks like fruits and veggies — preferably hand-picked from the family garden.
"She's really a pretty healthy eater," Thiessen, 41, told Us Weekly of her little girl at the Ulta Beauty Spa Day for breast cancer survivors earlier this month, noting that Harper "hates" fries and isn't a fan of frosting. "She likes carrots and hummus and things like that."
She's also very naturally active, and would rather run around outdoors than sit in front of a screen for hours on end.
"She's really not that kid. She's more of an outside kid. Her TV watching, I have to say, is luckily pretty limited," Thiessen says. "She likes to, you know, collect rocks and put flowers together and look for roly polys. She loves running and riding her bike, she's very much that person. Not that she doesn't have the iPad and use it, but it's very limited. It's not a lot."
When she does want to watch something, she's a "Netflix girl," Thiessen tells Us. "She knows she has to watch the G stuff, but she's got a couple shows that I hadn't even heard of. That's what's crazy about Netflix! I'm like, 'What is this?' and it's from Australia, some cute little cartoon about a shark and a mermaid."
Of course, some of Harper's day now is spent in kindergarten — which has taken some getting used to for her mom, who just welcomed a son, Holt, with husband Brady Smith in July.
"It was kind of surreal at first, but I haven't seen her grow this much…I don't think I've ever seen it," the Saved by the Bell alum gushes. "It's almost like she's a whole new kid. It's amazing."
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star is proud, of course, but the transition is a little bittersweet nonetheless. "It makes me happy, but it also makes me sad because I know that those other phases are kind of gone and she's moved into the next one," she admits. "But thank God I have another baby…It's going to be even worse when he's done and gone to the next level and I'm like, 'Oh God, I have no more babies!'"
For now, though, Thiessen is enjoying her new family dynamic — especially the bond between Harper and her little brother. "She's great [as a big sister]," the Dinner at Tiffani's host shares. "I mean, her only problem is kissing him too much. She absolutely loves him so much, she really does…She's really been quite sweet."
