Another foodie is on the way! Top Chef judge Gail Simmons is pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Jeremy Abrams, Us Weekly confirms.
The Bringing It Home author and Abrams welcomed daughter Dahlia Rae, who turns 4 this month, in December 2013. The couple tied the knot in 2008.
Simmons recently shared a photo with her daughter at a pumpkin patch in October.
“Seems like Fall finally found us, lost above a corn maze. 🍁🌽🎃😊,” she captioned the picture at the time.
Later that month, the Toronto native spoke to Us exclusively about her renovating her kitchen in Brooklyn, New York.
“I knew the kitchen was going to be the workhorse for my recipes, my books, my job,” Simmons said. “I needed it to be really functional, usable and practical. I’m not a person who cares for the fancy stuff that you can’t use.”
While Simmons is the expert in the kitchen, she revealed her music executive husband took the lead in designing their home. “He’s very conscious of surfaces and breathability and room and space and not cluttering everything up,” Simmons explained. ”So our home is very modern and clean and neutral, but there’s a lot of personality in terms of what we keep out and what we put away.”
Of course, there is still room for Dahlia’s toys — like her Pottery Barn kitchen play set.
“I came upon about a year ago, and it’s literally the exact replica in miniature of my kitchen — deep, smoky grey cabinets, white counters and brass accessories,” Simmons explained. “I joke that hers is nicer because she has a farmhouse sink. So we cook side-by-side.”
