Jana Kramer
The parenting police came out in full force when the country singer purchased jarred baby food for her daughter, Jolie, back in 2016. She followed up with an Instagram post of a message written in a notebook: “Dear Mommy Shamers, Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father, or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child, or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”
When a social media troll called the actress’ daughter a “brat” for throwing a temper tantrum in June 2019, Kramer wrote on her Instagram Story, “Haaaaahahaha. NO. She is 3!!!”
In February 2020, the singer ranted on her Instagram Story: “I deleted that comment from that girl that was nasty about me, but my kids? I just don’t get that. Like, I understand people that might not agree with my love life or what I do, but my God. To attack my kids? That’s just not OK. I just want to say think before you send someone a DM. … Just be nice to people whether you agree with them or don’t agree with them and don’t attack their kids.”
When Kramer was criticized in October 2020 for taking a family vacation amid the pandemic, she clapped back. “I don’t want to be in a car for 12 hours with two toddlers,” the actress wrote via Instagram. “I’m adult enough to wash my hands, wear masks and take the precautions. … We did it safely, but also sane. The airlines and airports were all doing a great job today so if I want to get on a plane with my kids then I’m going to do that. And I sprayed their hands a million times.”
After a “terrifying” experience briefly losing Jolie at a park in January 2021, Kramer defended her parenting skills. “I know I’m a great mom,” she told Us. “Like I’ve always said, I’m a good singer, I’m a good actress, but I’m a great freaking mom. I know that in my heart. So I was like, if I have to go up against these [haters] … I know that I’m posting it because I would have loved the reminder.”
